Lori Van Laanen at Way to Go Travel and Tours is helping us with our wedding plans. She will gladly assist you in putting together a travel experience that will meet your needs and make your trip memorable. Once we decide on a specific resort, please feel free to contact her and she'll help you plan your trip.
No gifts are necessary. We are simply honored to have you join us on our special day. That is the best gift!
We also hope to have a small wedding reception in the summer of 2018 at home for everyone to attend. This way family and friends unable to travel can still share in our special day and people who are able to travel can celebrate again!
Thanks again for all your love and support!
Lisa and I really got to know each other in college although we did have mutual friends and had met before. We ended up in Statistics class together, which was a boring and difficult course. One of our first memories was when got together in the evenings to do homework and study for tests. I'm not sure how much studying we actually got completed, but the pitcher of blue UV Vodka and lemonade that we made to drink while studying always made things better!
We've had so many amazing experiences over the last 13 years. We took a spring break trip to Florida and Lisa helped me celebrate my 35th and 40th birthdays in Las Vegas! We've attended countless sporting events, had some exciting moments at Country USA, and visited lots of local clubs and bars. Our many years of memories and experiences are an important and cherished part of my life.
I'm so proud to call Lisa one of my best friends. She's been there through the good times and the rough ones and has always been supportive and caring. I'm truly "honored" to call Lisa my Maid of Honor.
I met Marc when he was born.........he is my younger brother by 13 months! Because we are so close in age, we grew up doing a lot together. From playing games in the backyard to climbing trees in the woods, to playing sports together in school, we have done a lot!
As adults, we have taken vacations with friends to Mexico and attended sporting events together (since we support many of the same teams). We share a common interest in golfing, baseball, playing bean bags, and traveling.
I'm proud to have my brother stand up in my wedding as best man, and I'm glad to have him be a part of this special moment in my life.
We have decided on Jamica as our wedding destination, but have not chosen a specific resort yet. November 4th is the day we'd leave Wisconsin to go to the Carribean and our plan is to get married a few days later. We are looking at adult only, all-inclusive resorts in this area and hope to know a specific location soon. We're hoping to keep costs between $1800-$2000 per person. Obviously this can vary based on the length of time you prefer to join us, the flights you prefer, the type of room you want, etc. This RSVP is to help us know if you seriously want to join us on our special day or are unable to attend. We are trying to get an estimate of how many people want to go as this will help our travel agent get us all the best possible rates/deals to meet everyone's travel needs. This will also help us make the final choice on which resort we plan to get married at. Thank you!
We knew each other for several years before we actually started dating. We had several mutual friends and went to many of the same places.
Our first official "date" was on November 4, 2013 to a Green Bay Packer game. Since then, we've created many wonderful memories together. We took vacations to Las Vegas and Connecticut. We camped with friends and family. We attended many sporting events both in Wisconsin and surrounding states.
On Christmas Day, 2015, we became engaged. The ring was an antique from Todd's Uncle Dick that originally belonged to his mom.
In April 2016, we purchased our first home together. We found a newly remodeled, little ranch in De Pere, WI and are currently working on small household projects together. Our next home goal is new landscaping for the backyard.
Our travel agent started putting wedding packages together in January 2017 for us. The dates she used were November 4, 2107 to November 11, 2017 because that was when flights were first availble. We were considering December 2017 or January 2018, but ended up liking the dates she chose because of sentimental value. We realized that leaving for the Carribbean on November 4, 2017 would be extra special because that when our first official date occurred exactly 4 years ago!
I grew up in Rio Creek, WI. My parents, Sonny and Diane, operated a small cheese factory called Rio Creek Co/op Cheese Factory. My brother, sister, and I enjoyed hanging out with the neighbor kids and spent a lot of time outdoors. I graduated from Algoma High School and have worked construction-related jobs for over 20 years. I currently work in building restoration.
In my free time I enjoy wood-working, playing golf, and watching sports. I'm an avid Packer, Brewer, and Badger fan. I've also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Gamblers play for many years. What makes my relationship with Shelly so great is that we have so many common interests. I look forward to seeing what our future holds.
I was born in Green Bay, WI and grew up on a small farm in Greenleaf, WI. My mom, Pat, stayed home and took care of my two brothers and I. My dad, Rich, was a rural mail carrier and hobby farmer. I graduated from Wrightstown High and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a degree in Human Development and Psychology. I currently work in special education and autism therapy.
In my free time, I enjoy camping, traveling, and watching sports. I'm a big fan of the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, and Wisconsin Badgers. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family. Todd has been such an amazing part of my life and I look forward to creating more memories with him.
We have officially chosen Jewel Paradise Cove in Jamaica as the destination for our wedding. We are getting married November 6, 2017 at 3:00. Here is the link to our official page where you can research prices of airfare, rooms, and extra amenities. You can book your vacation specifically from this page or work with our travel agent in person. Thank you!
